March Workshop: "Perfectly Pieced Borders" with Cindy Williams

Take your quilt design and piecing to the next level!  In this no-sewing presentation, we'll learn the four main types of pieced borders and the techniques needed to accomplish them on any quilt. We’ll discover - quite happily - that only one of the four types needs any calculating and it is simple math.

We’ll follow the information included in Cindy’s 74-page full-color book Perfectly Pieced Borders so that you will be familiar with the contents and can use the book as a reference when adding pieced borders to your own quilts.

No supplies, i.e. sewing machines, fabric, scissors, etc. are needed.  You may want to bring paper and pen(cil) for note-taking. You will only need her book, which can be purchased from the author at the workshop for $20. ($27 retail).  Please bring cash or a check payable to the instructor.

Workshop Policies are located here: Workshop Policies

We will have a lunch break midday. Please plan to bring your lunch and if it needs to be kept cold, please bring it in an insulated bag. We do not have facilities for refrigeration. Coffee and tea (and possibly ice water if the ice machine is working) will be provided.

Our Guild follows all Buncombe County directives regarding covid prevention. Masks are optional. Please stay home if you feel unwell or if you know you have been exposed to this virus. We also encourage everyone to do a home covid test before coming to the workshop. We want everyone to feel (and to be) safe at our workshops.

Thanks for registering and we are looking forward to seeing you!
