How do you go from a quilt you've made to a pattern and then to a book? Quilt designer, pattern maker, and author Candyce Grisham shares her journey with the Dresden block into the modern quilt world, art quilts, and publishing. You can learn more about Candy and her work at https://icandyfiberart.com.
AQG member Kathleen Rountree will take us on a tour of the prizewinning quilts she makes using vintage linens. These works of art have won ribbons at national quilt shows, and they have been displayed in several museum and solo gallery shows. She also teaches her techniques in the southeast and has upcoming national teaching events this year.

Internationally recognized teacher, prizewinning quilter, author and quilt/pattern designer Cynthia England will present an entertaining slide presentation showing the process of making pictorial quilts using her "Picture Piecing" technique. Enlarging the design, fabric selection, and organizational methods will be discussed in detail.
Cynthia England is a native Houstonian and graduate of the Art Institute of Houston and has been creating quilts for more than forty years. Experimentation with quilting techniques led her to develop her own unique style and technique called, "Picture Piecing". Cynthia’s quilts have been honored with many awards, including three Best of Shows at the prestigious International Quilt Association, as well as Viewer's Choice at the American Quilter’s Society. Her quilt, Piece and Quiet was distinguished as one of the Hundred Best Quilts of the 20th Century.
