Quilt Judging Explained, Kathryn Zimmerman
Kathryn explains the judging process and the specific details that interest the judges.
Kathryn is a candidate in training with the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges and an AQG member. She is a competition quilter whose awards include three Best of Show and two Viewers Choice as well as being an AQS winner. Her quilt “Dogwood Winter” is winner of the Machine Quilting Award at the 2017 Asheville Quilt Show.

A display of reproduction quilts and historical discussion of the impact, importance, and use of quilts during the Civil War and appearing in full period costume.
Married 40 years, Connie and Ken both quilt. Ken began making quilts after becoming a Civil War re-enactor. Ken is a retired US history teacher who is also quilt appraiser. Ken and Connie are both active storytellers as well.

Making the best thread and needle choices for your projects.
Karen is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild since 1983 in the fiber/fabric category. Her work appears in books published by Lark Publishing. She has a commissioned piece in the White House permanent collection. Karen also enjoys gardening, cooking, and family time.
