AQG Committee Listing

  • Community Quilts is responsible for overseeing and implementing charitable quilt projects for  the AQG as outlined here.
  • Equipment is responsible for purchasing, maintaining, storing, and setting up equipment as needed for meetings.
  • Guild Friends is responsible for coordinating events and activities to welcome  new members and help them become enthusiastic participants of the Guild.
  • Guild Projects is responsible for administering activities and projects sponsored by the Guild as outlined here.
  • Hospitality is responsible for planning the Holiday Party and August picnic and for coordinating lunch for the January Community Quilts Day.
  • Library Committee is responsible for administering library books, publications and audiovisual materials belonging to AQG, and for purchasing  new material as needed.
  • Membership is responsible for soliciting new members, collecting dues, maintaining a database of member information and producing a member directory. 
  • Newsletter Committee is responsible for keeping the members informed of Guild activities via publication of the monthly disPatch newsletter.
  • Programs is responsible for planning the programs and workshops for the monthly Guild meetings and other special events.
  • Publicity is responsible for keeping the public informed of the activities and accomplishments of the Quilt Show and other Guild activities.
  • The Quilt Show Committee is responsible for managing the various aspects of the annual Quilt Show, including all aspects of soliciting and judging quilt entries, finance, program, site design, exhibits, vendors, equipment, etc. 
  • Strategic Planning is responsible for creating   long-range plans to coordinate the policies, procedures, and financial stability of the Guild.
  • Ways and Means is responsible for fund raising as outlined here.
  • Website Committee is responsible for maintaining and updating the AQG website.
  • Workshop is responsible for announcing upcoming workshops, collecting fees, securing a site and being onsite during each workshop.
