CAMP BLUE BIRD

Camp Blue Bird sessions are May 17 and 18, 2011.
This spring we will start to put together the 52 squares campers created last spring and fall. The plan is to create another quilt for 2011 to hang in the camp hall, celebrating another year in this fine program for cancer patients. The Guild Projects program supplies the materials and volunteer mentors.

DEERPARK GALLERY AT BILTMORE

AQG members will participate in a show at the Deerpark Gallery at the Biltmore. Tiffany Lamps: Articles of Utility, Objects of Art is the special program beginning in July which will showcase table, floor and hanging lamps in The Biltmore Legacy in Antler Hill Village. Watercolorists, photographers and AQG quilters have been invited to display works influenced by Tiffany glass. Connie Brown is our liaison with the Biltmore and will organize our part of this exhibit. A limited number of quilts will be displayed.

FOLK ART CENTER

The Folk Art Center has invited AQG quilters to display members' quilts in the upstairs gallery from September thru January 2012. Barbara Swinea and Julie Simpson are co-chairing this event and details will be forthcoming. A limited number of quilts will be displayed due to gallery limitations.
