Recent and Current Efforts Include:

Super Saturday at UNCAsheville
We had a great fall session of Quilt in a Shoe Box.
We had 14 students who completed a 16 inch wall hanging.
We are getting ready to start our spring session on March 6, 2010.
As of March 1st we have 10 students registered. The class dates are as follows:
March 13, 20, 27, April 10 and April 17. If you are interested in helping please

NATIONAL QUILT DAY
March 20, 2010
We need 15-20 quilts no larger than 54 x 54 inches.
Use bright, cheerful colors for the quilts. Preemie quilts too. These
quilts will be presented to the families of new born babies on
National Quilt Day at Mission Hospital.

Guild member Charmaine Strong has been teaching
a group of Ukranian women how to quilt.
They have been making bulls eye blocks.
The women have been very enthusiastic while learning
quilting skills.
